Temporary Solutions

Over-the-counter snore appliances, sometimes called boil-and-bite devices, can be used in the short term to help you limit snoring.  The downside is that they don't fit accurately over your teeth, which can be uncomfortable and lead to poor fit, movement of the teeth, and a sore jaw.

Nasal strips or nasal dilators may help open the nasal cavity and help you breathe more easily.

​

Mouth taping has grown in popularity and can help some people if their jaw falls open at night.
